As we round into the last weeks before the baby comes, we have been attempting to update and finalize a few home improvements. I think I mentioned our whole house fan in an earlier post and Al and his dad installed a new dishwasher on Wednesday of this week. I realize that a picture of the dishwasher isn't all that exciting, but it does help to explain the title of this post.
Neither of us particularly loved the white dishwasher, but we agreed that it would be best to purchase the dishwasher in the same color as the oven and fridge. We both agreed that the appliances look fine, but now, our cabinets look awful (i.e. - one thing leads to another...). Looks like there is a kitchen cabinet project on the horizon!
Al and his dad also installed new light fixtures in our downstairs bathroom. The wall still needs a bit of "touch up" paint, but between the lighting and the new mirror, it is looking much better than before!
The final home improvement for this week (so far) was a new sconce for the hallway leading upstairs. I wish I had taken a "before" picture, as the "after" is so much better!I realize that these aren't the most exciting pictures, but I figure that entries with pictures are more interesting...
In baby news, things are going really well. Today officially begins week 35 of the pregnancy and all things considered, I am feeling really good. I am a bit more tired and it is difficult to get comfortable sometimes, but I really can't complain all that much. Work is keeping me really busy, as I am wrapping up my final few weeks before my leave begins. I notice that my legs/feet are a bit more sore, but I feel lucky to be up and around. The baby is moving a lot and Tuesday was an EXTREMELY active day for her! I will be seeing the doctor for our final ultrasound on 5/26 and my last "official" day of work is 5/29. Allen and I may finally have chosen a name, so stay tuned for more details.
This weekend is supposed to be a hot one--fingers crossed that it isn't too bad! Hope everyone is doing well!
