Today is the official third birthday of my new spine. Sometimes it seems like yesterday, and other times I can't believe how long ago it feels. Three years ago was the big surgery and when I think about it, I feel so lucky to have made it through as well as I did. I can't believe how lucky I have been with the back pain during pregnancy and am hopeful that things stay this way for the remaining few weeks. I really wanted to make a spine cake to celebrate, but never got around to it (I'll take any excuse I can to eat cake these days!).
